No life in a mountain town is complete without the sacred bean. A sacred ritual and a daily survival strategy, coffee is as much a part of the mountain culture as the snow caps themselves. We love our coffee and have two bean brands of fairly traded organic coffee to get you started in the morning and help sustain your active days. Both locally roasted within the boundaries of British Columbia, these beans are roasted in small quantities to ensure the best roast every time.
We also stock backcountry espresso makers because we don't always wake up within reaching distance if our kitchens.
For the perfect coffee, try not to grind the beans until you are ready to pack the hit. Burr grinders are necessary for the real coffee fanatic since blade grinders heat up the coffee during the grind and change the flavour. The grind should also be adjusted relative to the humidity levels of the surrounding environment.
